newcomer AnnaLynne McCord told Entertainment Weekly that, "It's
very scary to think of committing to any show for six years."
McCord plays the super rich, super bitch Naomi on the CW's newly
revamped 90210. I hate to be the bearer of bad news for you, Miss
McCord, but honestly, I don't think your six-year contract is anything
to split your pretty blond hairs over. Not when you are one of the
stars of fall's first big disappointment.In theory, what wasn't to love about 90210? The fish-out-of-water premise was already there - a family moves to the posh city of Beverly Hills from the bumbling hills of the Midwest. The CW's latest track record with the melodramatic teen scene has been successful with everyone's favorite juvenile delinquents on Gossip Girl. But CW President Dawn Ostroff does not beat around the bush when it comes to the importance of 90210 not sucking. The CW cannot afford another flop with just one hit show and fledgling fans of old favorites like One Tree Hill. Unfortunately, it seems that 90210 is destined to be the flop they can't afford. From the lackluster first episode to the equally disappointing second episode, 90210 took a huge 30 percent hit in its ratings. I can chalk the failure up to two different factors. Writing is a big one, but it may not necessarily be the writers' faults. Behind the scenes of 90210 has been a battle of wills when it comes to the show's script. Rewrites have to go through not only the show's producers, but executives of the CW and CBS Productions. This has caused a change from what one of the writers described as a Breakfast Club-like script, to a collection of babbled soliloquies filled with the word "like." Really? They thought The Breakfast Club was a step down from this version of the show? The other factor in the downgrade of 90210 is the cast. While the original Beverly Hills 90210 cast members were never known as future Oscar winners, the new set of actors is just plain horrible. The girls are anorexic shadows that deliver their lines about as convincingly as Lynne Spears delivers advice about motherhood. The male actors are no better, with their only redeeming quality being their jailbait good looks. And as far as that may carry me with any other show, not even a cute 20-something playing a sexed-up teenager could keep me tuning into the debacle that is 90210. |

luck. The network and producing studio issued a statement Monday saying they won’t be sending out DVDs of the highly anticipated show before its September 2
premiere. “The CW and our studio partner CBS Paramount Network Television have made the strategic marketing decision not to screen ‘90210′ for any media in advance of its
premiere,” the statement said. “We’re not hiding anything - simply keeping a lid on ‘90210′ until 9.02, riding the curiosity and anticipation into premiere night and letting all our constituents see it at the same
time”. The statement set the blog world into a frenzy of speculation about the quality of the show, a contemporary version of Fox’s long-running “Beverly
Hills, 90210”. |

| The CW’s 90210 gets back to the set and continues to film in Los Angeles on
Wednesday. AnnaLynne McCord, Dustin Milligan, Jessica Lowndes, Lori Loughlin, Shenae Grimes, and Shannen Doherty were seen on-set!
Shannen is also seen arriving at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City for an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman” to promote the show on Thursday.

2008. It's sounds great, huh? Don't miss her interview! I can't wait! The show was greatly inspired by the Irish Late Late Show. It immediately follows Late Show with David Letterman and is produced by Letterman's Worldwide Pants Incorporated in CBS Television City. The program dates to 1995, and has had three permanent hosts.
Occasionally, the show is split into 15- and 45-minute segments when CBS airs a daily late night highlight show for either The Masters, other PGA Tour events with rights owned by CBS, or tennis' U.S. Open. The show then has a monologue to start, followed by sports highlights, and then the guest segments.

| The return of 90210 was a coup for the CW network: Tuesday night's two-hour episode was watched by 4.9 million viewers, making it the highest-rated scripted series premiere in the history of the network, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Among coveted viewers aged 18-40-years-old, the show tied with the premiere of CW's ratings champ, America's Next Top Model.
The first episode of the spin-off featured original cast favorites Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty, who shared the screen with a wide array of fresh
faces. The Boston Globe called it "pretty bad", while Variety slammed it as "a pallid copy of the original fish out of water story only with shinier cars, fancier clothes and Botox aplenty." It's "a perfectly competent and reasonably seamless revival that understands what made the original tick" wrote a Newsday critic. |

may not be on first-name terms with these girls yet, but come
September 2, you will be. That’s when 90210 revives itself with a
new class of West Beverley High students, and if you thought Brenda
and Dylan were trouble, just wait. “We’re very racy, very
provocative, and very modern”, says AnnaLynne McCord, whose
character Naomi Clark is so spoiled, so ruthless, and so gorgeous, she
threatens to seduce herself straight into a spinoff series based on
the pilot alone. “But the emotions and the issues are very real”,
adds Shenae Grimes (yes, “that girl from Degrassi”): “Like, on
most television shows, the girl gets an eating disorder, she cries,
her mom solves it… all in one episode. It’s not like that in real
life, and on our show, these characters have real layers that will all
peel away very, very slowly”. And if designer labels and
psychological warfare aren’t enough – not to mention pool parties,
bar parties, and scenes on a private jet – there’s also a steady
